During the holiday I went with Stitch to London. It was an amazing trip, and I finally decided to share some of our memories with you. I’m counting to make a couple of posts like this during the next few weeks.
First stop, the London Zoo.
It was pretty cold that day, and I have to say we weren’t really planning on going there. But I’m glad we did because it was amazing! I actually had an hard time selecting what picture share with you, cause I took so many. But here we go!
This little guy was so colorful and reminded me of Nemo, so I couldn’t resist and I had to shoot him. And don’t lie, I know you thought about Nemo too.
I guess you could see we were pretty egocentric and we took a picture with almost everything we could. We just played the tourist role without thinking twice about it.
I have to admit it: the whole let’s take a selfie with a penguin idea was Stitch’s. It’s not my fault if the penguin decided to make a pose when I was shooting. So let’s give him some credits.
I guess this doesn’t need much explanation, doesn’t it?
Not sure what it was looking at, but it must have been really interesting. Love it.
This is Timon’s family. That’s it. I’ve met Timon’s family. You can all be jealous.
That’s it for now. If you ever been to the London Zoo, let me know what were your favorites animal to see – and shoot!
These last days I’ve been very busy with my choir. It was an amazing and intense week end full of music, and I can’t be grateful enough to be a part of something that special. But I won’t talk much about that, ’cause I like to keep those feeling for myself right now.
Anyway, I realized that I’m already on Wed’s Photo number 50! It’s been a long journey, that I wasn’t sure I would have been able to keep up with. When I started this project, I didn’t really know where I was going and I didn’t planned much. The idea was simply to have a reason to keep shooting. Since everything school and work related is getting intense, I now decide that this won’t be a weekly project anymore, at least for a while. That doesn’t mean that I will stop publishing my photography: the Wed’s Photo series stay on board, but it won’t be a regular appointment. I will still post a photo on Wednesday anytime I will have one to share with you! Hopefully this will give me some time to dedicate to my studies, but also to write some more post!
Last week end was really intense, so I decided once again to put two weeks together.
As you may see from Week 28’s Favorites, I’ve discovered an amazing blog called The Nectar Collective, and I really suggest you all to go read it if you don’t already! I’d also wanted to thank the lovely JennyPurr for sharing the link that made me discover The Nectar Collective. Her blog is another piece of heaven that you must follow, trust me!
At first I wanted to put this picture with the others I took that day in this last week’s post, but I felt I needed it to have a special place. I don’t know what it is about this picture, but I love it. I always preferred simple things more than complicated ones. Maybe that’s why I couldn’t help but like this one.
Since I have an empty Etsy shop (that I’d really like to fill up, if I will ever have the time), I had the idea of selling this photo as a desktop wallpaper. I have to admit I feel a little weird by doing this. I never thought about selling my photography, and I’m not sure anyone may be intrested in it. But you never know!
So, if you’d like to have this picture as your new desktop wallpaper and at the same time make a little contribution to this blog, CLICK HERE!
What do you think about this little project? I’d really like to know your opinions!
Even if in this photograph the colors looks a bit alike, this is not the same sweater I was wearing in last weeks’ picture. This one is more a mustard yellow kind of colors, and I must say I’m truly in love with it.
I took this photo yesterday, during my lunch break. I found this really quiet spot just near my work place and I think I’m gonna visit it more often. You just can smell autumn through the air!
As a university student, it happens to be away from home all day long. Every night before going to bed, I always check my bag to see if I have everything ready for the next day, so that I can save some time in the morning. Here’s the list of my essentials!
Laptop – I always make sure to charge my MacBook Air for the next day, as in general I don’t like to take the charger with me. If your battery runs out quickly, maybe it’s better to bring it with you as well. Some of my fellow students use their iPad (usually with a keyboard) to take notes, others take them on paper. Use what works best for you!
Water – I make sure to always bring with me a bottle of water, since we all know how important it is for our health. Sometimes, when it get cooler outside, I also take with me a thermos with some hot tea.
Snacks – When I’m concentrated, I tend to get really hungry. I think if it was for me, I could it all the time. I have to admit that sometimes I forget to bring food with me, so I end up buying something at the university’s cafeteria…
Books – Of course, if you need some books for your classes, make sure to take them with you! I know they’re heavy, but they’re still really important. If you just need few pages, you can also scan them on your computer, so you don’t have to bring the whole book with you.
Notebook – I never go anywhere without my current notebook with me. You never know when a good blog post idea will come to you, or when you’ll need to write down something important!
Agenda – Even if lately I found that using the Calendar App to keep all my schedules together, I still love writing down my appointments and big events on my Moleskine. I love to write when something good happens to me during the day as well.
Pens, colors and highlighters – The last two points would be really pointless without some writing material. I think that color is the key to make everything more fun and enjoyable to (re)read.
iPod and headphones – Between a class and another, I sometimes go to the library or to a study room to get ahead with the stuff I need to do (studying, writing, reading,…). Since I get bored of too much silence, I always bring with my iPod and my Urbanears.
Camera – I try to always find a place for my camera in my bag. I sometimes switch between my Canon Powershot G16 and my Instax Mini 90. You never know when a nice shooting opportunity will appear!
Wallet, keys and phone – Do I really have to explain those?
iPhone portable charger – Since my iPhone sometimes runs out pretty quickly of battery, I normally have with me my portable charger I got from here. It already saved me more than once.
Last weekend I tried to do another night shoot with my dear Canon Powershot. I do like the result, even if I’m sure it would be even better without any light at all… I hope I will be able to try that one day!
Did you ever try taking pictures of the stars? How did it go?
This little guy is painted on a wall just a couple of minutes away from my apartment in Fribourg. The first time I saw it at night (it was really dark), I got scared cause I thought it was real. Since then, I always thought about taking a picture of it, and I finally did!
I’m sorry if this week I didn’t write that much… I got some post ideas in my mind, but I didn’t had the time to write them. With my new internship, I finally have less time and I still have to get organized. At least, I once again prepared a list of great post from this week just for you!
